12 Days of Thomson

Well I won the Thomson Contest. Whooo hoo!! Big shout out to all my friends and help I got to win, couldn't have done it without you! Thanks to Thomson for first making Awesome products and also for this contest!

I opted not to get the dress up kit for the X4 stem and just get a seat clamp to finish out my bike. I didn't think I could pull off a red, blue or gold on my Green Niner.

First the cool box of goodness showed up.

And here it is....

I love when you can put a part on the bike and never have to mess with it or worry about it again.

Off with the KCNC clamp...

And on with the new...

The Shameless Thomson Blog Post

Ok - I know I don't use this blog much and I have no followers, but I'm doing this again for the Thomson points, and of course the fame of posting this to the world to see.

This is my cycling year in a quick view....

This was my first year with Champion City Cycling's bike team - a learning experience - but also thankful to have met the best bunch of friends in the world.

I have 2,220 miles for this year - the most ever for myself, may not sound like much with life, 2 kids, and all the other fun stuff in life - it's good for me.

I have climbed over 57,000 ft this year - not too bad for living in Ohio with the highest elevation is just over 1500 feet.

I have burned 96,448 calories so far this year - I want to break 100,00 calories for the year.

Anyways - I love bikes. I love working on them, riding them, helping friends out with them. I enjoy quality parts. Thomson seatposts and stems are perfect examples of parts you install and forget about. They just work, quietly never reminding you of them. The only time you remember is after a ride on the post ride clean up - when you wipe it down and think to yourself about how nice it is to have a quality part that you don't have to keep fiddling with because it was 9 grams lighter.

Anyways I can go on and on.... but 2011 has been a great year. I look forward to making 2012 even better.
